Protect your build from foundation to final walkthrough. Monthly progress monitoring and quality control throughout the construction process.
Building a new home on Kauai is a significant investment, and what gets covered up during construction stays covered up for the life of the home. Framing connections, vapor barriers, flashing details, plumbing rough-ins, electrical work — once the drywall goes up, these critical components are hidden. Our new construction inspection service ensures the areas that will be covered and concealed don't lead to major issues down the road.
New construction inspection is typically structured as monthly site visits with photo-documented progress reports. Each visit captures the current state of construction, identifies any concerns or quality issues, and provides you with a visual record of your build at every stage. This documentation is invaluable for tracking progress, communicating with your contractor, and maintaining a permanent record of how your home was built.
At the owner's request, we perform targeted quality control inspections at critical construction milestones. These are deeper evaluations focused on the work being performed at that stage — verifying that materials, methods, and workmanship meet standards before the next phase covers everything up. Key QC checkpoints typically include foundation and slab work, framing and structural connections, rough plumbing and electrical, insulation and vapor barriers, exterior waterproofing and flashing, and pre-drywall conditions.
Our drone aerial surveys provide perspective that ground-level photography can't match — complete roof coverage during and after installation, overall site progress, drainage patterns, and context photos that show the property in relation to its surroundings. Aerial documentation is included in progress reports when weather and airspace conditions permit.
Before you accept the completed home, a final inspection identifies any remaining punch-list items, verifies that all systems are operational, and creates a baseline condition report for your records. This is your last opportunity to have issues addressed by the builder before you take ownership.
